In my graphic design class, we were required to create a brand identity for a midwest industrial insurance agency called Sarcon. We were not provided with a lot of details regarding the brand, so I made up the brand statement myself:
Sarcon’s mission is to provide quality insurance to industrial companies of the American Midwest. “At Sarcon, we believe that your company should be cared for on a professional level.” The logo represents the integrity of Sarcon in a few different ways. The professional aspect is represented through the font and color used. The light weight of the font used reminds customers that Sarcon is not meant to be in your face, it is only there just in case. The use of Helvetica Neue creates the connection between the brand and professionalism; let’s face it, this font is the face of corporate America. However, because it is light, it makes it unique and a bit more appealing than your average corporation’s logo. As for the symbol, it represents the harmony between Sarcon’s services and their customers. This idea is based on Sarcon’s mission to care for their clients on a professional level. A strong circle relationship is formed when a company and it’s customers can communicate on a professional level and this is why Sarcon’s logo represents this. The bold logo makes a strong statement to people that Sarcon is the go-to company for professional industries seeking insurance.
Sarcon Brand Identity
On top of doing the logo, I did an entire branding package including print collateral, an annual report, and a website.
